A former engineer with Pratt & Whitney, Matthew's professional engineering experience enables him to provide his clients with practical and knowledgeable guidance for their mechanical and medical device patents. 

Matthew drafts patent applications and patent office action responses, with particular experience in avionics, mechanical systems and microchip manufacturing. Additionally, he conducts and summarizes patent infringement analyses for pending litigation matters.

He also has experience related to IP assets in mergers & acquisitions ("M&A"), including purchase agreement drafting, reviewing and drafting confidentiality agreements, drafting IP assignment documents, and M&A and technology agreement due diligence.

Matthew received his J.D. and an intellectual property certificate from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he also served as the Assistant Managing Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal and was a participant in the Judge Janet Bond Arterton's Inns of Court. He received his B.S. in Engineering from Oral Roberts University, with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering.  

While employed with Pratt & Whitney, Matthew determined jet engine operability, and he created jet engine repair solutions to support jet engine overhaul and airline service.
